Shelby Dennis

Shelby Dennis is a freelance writer who specializes in lifestyle topics like pets, gardening, and health/beauty. All her life, Shelby has shared a home with at least one pet at any given time. Some of her earliest memories include playing with cats and dogs! She’s also adopted mice, guinea pigs, parakeets, and fish over her adult years.

Growing up, Shelby’s parents instilled a deep love for animals and giving them the best life possible. As an adult, that love also became a passion for researching and writing about how to do exactly that.

Today, Shelby is a proud pet owner and experienced writer on all things pets. Whether furry, feathered, fishy, or scaly, she believes pets and animals are truly part of the family. She loves to write clear, fact-based guides on bringing home new pets and awesome products to make their lives even better.

When she isn’t doing research or writing a new article, Shelby can usually be found with a good book and a cat curled up in her lap. (And even when she is trying to work, there’s still usually a cat curled up in her lap.)
